India: In a real bizarre coincidence, as reported hackers have stole 1.5 terabytes of data from HBO, this include material on fantasy series Game of Thrones, which they have threatened to leak periodically, but there is someone who is ready to beat them to it.
Game of thrones is available in many of the torrent sites and what is embarrassing is that the water mark logo in the leaked video available online. As can be seen in the logo, there is clear logo of STAR INDIA PVT LTD in the video leaked online.
It should be noted that the 4th episode is still not aired. the unaired episode 4, titled The Spoils of War, was leaked online on Friday 4th Aug, three days before its official air date. The leaked originated from Hotstar. Hot star is channel which streams the service where the show minutes after America’.
The file, which is being circulated on piracy websites, confirms that the episode is the season’s ie of 50 minutes and shortest till now.
A Star India spokesperson confirmed the leak in a statement to The Verge. “This confirms the compromise of episode 4 of Game of Thrones Season 7, earlier this afternoon,” says a Star India spokesperson. “We take this breach very seriously and have immediately initiated forensic investigations at our and the technology partner’s end to swiftly determine the cause. This is a grave issue and we are taking appropriate legal remedial action.”
