Jordan Sinnott, A non-league footballer has died in hospital after being assaulted.  Jordan, played for the Matlock town, was found unconscious with a suspected fractured skull following a disturbance in Retford, Nottinghamshire, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Sinnott was found unconscious with a fractured skull in the market place of Retford, Nottinghamshire, in the early hours of 25 January 2020, following what Nottinghamshire Police described as a large-scale fight. He was admitted to hospital in a critical condition and died later that evening. His loan club Matlock Town and parent club Alfreton Town had both postponed their respective matches earlier that day.

As per reports, the incident happened in Dominie Cross pub car park in Grove Street shortly after 11.25 pm on Friday. It is known till now that eight men and women were involved in chaos in the park. Jordan Sinnott was found unconscious before being found later with a suspected fractured skull. There are other people who also were affected by the incident, a young 27 years old man sustained a broken nose.

Jordan James Sinnott (14 February 1994 – 25 January 2020) was an English footballer, he used to play as a midfielder. He was the son of the former Huddersfield Town captain Lee Sinnott.
