Bigg Boss winner Sidharth Shukla dies; see his last tweet

Mumbai: Bigg Boss 13 reality show winner and actor Sidharth Shukla passed away on Thursday (September 2) due to a heart attack. He was 40. Sidharth is survived by his mother and two sisters.

According to media reports, Sidharth did not wake up after he took some medicine before sleeping. He was rushed to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai but was declared “brought dead”.

"He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago," a senior Cooper Hospital official told news agency PTI.

His last tweet, on August 30, was about the performances of the Indian athletes at the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics. He had tweeted, “Indians making us proud over and over again… a World Record in addition to the #Gold in #Paralympics … congratulations #SumitAntil and #AvaniLekhara (sic).”

Sidharth began his acting career in Television. The model-turned-actor made his acting debut in Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. He became popular with the TV serial Balika Vadhu.

He was part of reality shows Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, and Bigg Boss 13, which he won. He had also won Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7. He made his Bollywood debut in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, where he had a supporting role.
