Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Jallikattu Ban protests: The Jallikattu Ban protest is in full form and non of the people who are from the state wants to stop it unless they get it. No one is daring to against it any way. Like when the The Madras High Court, said it will not "interfere" on the issue of protests in the city against the ban on Jallikattu, as the holding since the Supreme Court was seized of the matter.  It looks like official support fight and fight for jallikattu.

In order to escalate the Issue and make the PM intervene though might be political the current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu would be meeting the PM on Thursday to urge him to make this widely known to every person about Jallikattu and to pass an authoritative order. to lift the ban on bull taming sport, Jallikattu.

Pannerselvam will be flying down to New Delhi today and discuss the prospects of brining such an ordinance. He also urged the youth and protesters to end their agitation.

It looks like no one wants to miss this sweet and bitter issue in Tamil Nadu, especially all the politicall parties. All are coming openly in the support of Jallikattu slowly and steadly.

AIADMK tweeted  "Tamil Nadu Government will continue to take necessary steps to ensure holding of Jallikattu- CM O.Panneerselvam,".The CM assured the protestors that the TamilNadu government would continue to make all the best efforts to conduct ‘Jallikattu

Thousands of protestors mostly students,   above 5,000, gathered at Marina beach demanding for the removal of ban on Jallikattu. Mostly seeking a ban on the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which has been made responsible for the people for having anti-jallikaatu stand?

The call for a ban on PETA also coming aloud within the ruling AIADMK, with general secretary Sasikala Natarajan leading the chorus for it. She said Centre should move fast and build consensus  to pass an ordinance for revoking the ban on Jallikattu. She further said we will adopt all legal measures to ban PETA,".

Many people in many aread of Tamil Nadu celebrated Black Pongal due to the Ban on the Jallikattu for the third year in a continuously, people from some villages in Madurai district  observed a "Black Pongal." By hoisting black flags and held processions condemning PETA and demanded that the Centre to take steps to conduct Jallikattu.

Previous week, the Supreme Court of India rejected a plea seeking to allow Jallikattu event being done during the Pongal festival in Tamil Nadu.

The top court of India comprising of Justices Dipak Misra and R. Banumathi told a group of lawyers, who requested for the verdict, that it is not good to ask the bench to pass an order.

The Supreme court had earlier in 2014 banned Jallikattu on grounds of animal cruelty.

As per TV reports, 31 colleges will remain closed in Tamil Nadu.

The protests that started in Madurai first, a day after Pongal festival spread to other parts of Tamil Nadu after police arrested over 200 protesters there on Tuesday morning.
