Major Boat Tragedy in Kerala, Alappuzha district

A major boat accident took place in the backwaters of Kerala's Alappuzha district. The boat was carrying around 70 passengers, most of whom were tourists, and it capsized after hitting a rock.

The incident is reported to have occurred around 4:30 pm, and rescue operations immediately began to save the passengers. So far, the death toll stands at 26, with several others injured and receiving medical treatment in nearby hospitals.

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, but initial reports suggest that the overloading of the boat and unfavourable weather conditions may have played a role in the tragedy.

This is a tragic incident, and my thoughts go out to the families of those affected by the boat tragedy in Kerala. I hope that the authorities will take appropriate measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future and provide support to those affected by the tragedy.
